Hi everyone! My name is Josh and I am a third year Maths with Economics student at Loughborough University. I have had a clear and genuine passion for maths since the start of my education, and find extremely satisfying when a certain topic clicks or I complete a tough question.
I have been tutoring since I joined university in Mathematics, and can tutor up to A-Level Maths. I have had experience with tutoring up to groups of 3, and have tutored a variety of ages and abilities across the GCSE to A-Level range. As such I am aware that each student needs a unique and tailored tutoring experience, whether that be focusing on the most difficult topics, going over the fundamentals or simply boosting enjoyment and confidence.

Having worked as a seller support associate I have gained experience in customer support. Which thought me how to handle different types of customers and this can be used in this field as I can handle students with different mentalities.
I am studying medicine at Queen Mary university and want to ensure academic success for all my pupils.
I have worked as a teaching assistant at a Saturday school for 1 year, helping 6-8-year-olds with writing, reading, spellings, singing, dance, and theatre lessons. During this time period, I was also a carer for a child in the class with autism, so I have experience with children who have special abilities.
I have also tutored a Year 12 student for 1 year on AQA A-level biology. Each session we went through the areas of the specification that the student found difficult and worked towards their end of Year 12 exams.
I have achieved Grade 9(A**) in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Grade 8(A*) in Mathematics.

Typically, I’d provide 15-30 mins of trial lessons for students. In the trial lesson, I would examine their skills so I would know how to teach them, and I would also let their parent know the problem with their children.
I would also set specific targets with the students so they would know what they aim for each lesson.
Moreover, we would also have some test and review sections so the students could improve themselves.
Additionally, at least one homework per week for students to revise.
A standard lesson would be one hour (60 mins) via Zoom or Google meeting, costing £18.
