I have also been Head of Science and Head of Sixth form and have managed teams of teachers. I have had responsibility for course delivery planning development and assessment throughout my career and produce many high class quality teaching and learning resources. I use modern methods of retrieval practice, scaffolded learning and algorithms to help my learners deal with the complexity and difficulty of A level Chemistry. I have a BSc and PhD in Chemistry, and have taught Science in schools for nearly 20 years, specialising in Chemistry up to A-level. I have taught in secondary schools, and in adult learning environments over this period, in the UK and abroad. Whilst working in a private laboratory, I delivered and assessed Science A-level Practical Endorsement courses, catering for home-schooled students and adult learners who do not have access to school laboratories. I am also an examiner for A-level Chemistry.
