Becoming a dynamic teacher has enabled me to differentiation my lessons by providing a more individual focus on students. This gives me greater ease in connecting with students and has created an increase in engagement during my lessons.
Education is an essential tool for preparing students to effectively live, work and trade in the global economy. I am passionate and committed about meeting the needs of students and helping them to grow as every child has the potential to succeed. I get great satisfaction in seeing students’ progress by reflecting on their journey from where they first started to where they are now.
I understand that the progress for one child will look very different to that of another, and therefore, I identify individual needs with the aim of helping them to achieve their personal targets.
I form positive relationships with all students as I understand that this is fundamental in creating a safe and welcoming environment for all leading to success.

I recently moved to Wolverhampton England from South Africa. I have more than 12yrs teaching experience in Accounting, Economics and project management.
I possess a rich and extensive teaching experience of 4 years in Mathematics. Alongside, I have demonstrated my academic prowess through remarkable achievements, including scoring 1480 in the SAT examination. Furthermore, my academic journey showcases exceptional results in my O Levels (GCE - British Council), where I secured 11* As, with exemplary performance in Mathematics, Economics and Additional Mathematics. In my A Levels, I accomplished 4 As, with my expertise evident in Mathematics, Economics and Further Mathematics.
My teaching approach is distinctive, as I strive to impart a fresh perspective to the subject. Instead of relying solely on memorization of formulas, I adopt a method that focuses on understanding the derivation of these formulas. Through my experience, I have found that comprehending the underlying principles makes Mathematics as well as Economics more accessible, fostering greater comprehension and practical application.

Fully PGCE qualified Maths Teacher with over 20 years experience in good and outstanding secondary schools in the UK. Have been curriculum leader of Maths and second in department. I have also taught at primary level and in the past taught students and adults at Walsall College and BMET College. In addition to Maths I have also taught Economics and Physics. I am currently teaching Maths at BMET College to adults and 16-18 yr old students and tutor at smartkids.
My notable achievements include designing a GCSE Maths course for Walsall Colleges VLE (website) in 2014 for all the students to access. I have attained excellent pass rates from past students for example, at Leasowes High all my top set year 8 either achieved their target levels or were above. I have been tutoring for 3 years despite several requests in the past which I turned down (didn’t have the time). A recent student of mine which I tutored attained A* in GCSE Maths and another I taught also attained Level 9 in the same subject. I am also currently tutoring a 6 year old girl who initially struggled with the subject but is now doing really well.

In addition I deliver extension courses to help prepare for applications to Oxbridge and other elite universities, often basing this extension around either University of London Foundation courses or broad reviews of political economy.
