Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. Some of them are examiners at GCSE and A-level, which means they know the exam techniques students need to answer the exam questions properly and get better grades. Within the team, we have professionals with very high qualifications ie Masters Degrees (MSc / MA) and PhDs in various subjects. We can, therefore, be confident to say we are professionals who are dedicated to what we do with proven records in the UK’s most entrance and national exams. I am currently a Medical student at Keele and a graduate from the University of Salford, achieving a 1st in my degree in Human Biology and Infectious Disease. I was responsible for a programme known as GEMMS which is for supporting students in their medicine/dentistry applications, assisting them in interview technique and for the entrance exams.

If they have a doubt in a concept, I will ask them to explain the same concept to me in their own words and correct them wherever necessary. I will provide some good methods to study or approach that topic. I will conclude the lesson by asking them if there is anything they would like to discuss in our next session so that I could prepare some questions in advance. I will also regularly be assessing your improvement through the use of practice papers to get an idea of where the student is at and how they can further improve. I am an experienced English teacher who has worked in secondary schools for the over 20 years. I am also an AQA Lead Moderator and and Adviser to more than 150 schools for English Language A Level. I have Advanced Diplomas (post degree) in Language and Literacy and in Child Development. English Language is my passion though, of course, I have taught GCSE Literature as part of my professional role in school and I love teaching the texts associated with the requirements of the course. I am happy to write specific schemes of work tailored for students' specific needs. I enjoy working with teenagers at both GCSE and A Level though my specialist Language knowledge is particularly relevant to A Level Language students. Increasingly, however, this in depth knowledge is relevant to GCSE English students. I am happy to work with all levels and relish the opportunity to engage with individuals who are seeking to increase their knowledge and understanding of the key requirements for both GCSE and A level courses. During the past year I have worked alongside students from years 7 - 13. I prefer to work online as this allows me to work one to one with pupils from across the country and help them to develop their skills through close monitoring and feedback. My DBS Certificate was renewed on 15 June 2024 and I have a current Child Protection Certificate 2023 both of which are requirements for my position as an English Teacher at a High School. This is done by letting the student figure out how to use the tools, to encourage them to move on to the next level of learning. ‘What a child can do today with assistance, tomorrow she will be able to do by herself’ this quote was coined by Vygotsky himself and backs up his beliefs.
