I offer individual tutoring online and in my home to those who are sitting GCSE and A Levels in English Literature and Language. I am also very keen to help slightly younger pupils who need help with general English skills like: reading, comprehension, grammar and punctuation, and general writing skills. I am also very keen to help adults who need help with written and spoken communication skills

Welcome! I am thrilled to support you on your educational journey. With over seven years of teaching experience and a strong background in English, I am here to make learning engaging and rewarding.
My lessons are dynamic and interactive, tailored to your unique needs and learning style. I use various formats, including individual and group activities, discussions, and multimedia resources, to ensure a well-rounded understanding of the material. Each lesson includes clear objectives, engaging content, and practical exercises to reinforce your learning.
For students preparing for exams like the IB MYP and DP Language and Literature, GCSE, A-level, iGCSE, IELTS, and SATs, my lessons focus on key exam techniques and practice questions to build your confidence and proficiency. I emphasise critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication, helping you excel in exams and overall academic endeavours.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have been a private tutor for over four years, both online and in-person, providing personalised attention and tailored support. This includes teaching English as a second language, which allows me to address the specific needs of ESL students and help them achieve fluency and confidence in English.
My goal is to create a stimulating, engaging, and positive learning environment where you can thrive. I am passionate about literature and language and strive to share this enthusiasm with you. Together, we will delve into the richness of English, enhance your skills, and reach your academic aspirations!

English Tutor, Teacher, Instructor
Leighton Buzzard, England
As a Head of the Languages Department and Primary and Secondary Teacher in a school in Leighton Buzzard for over 10 years, I believe I am the right language tutor for you!
I'm fluent in Spanish, ( my native language) French, and English and have spent many years teaching and studying languages. I completed a bachelor's degree in Spanish and English at Manchester/ALmeria University (2008) and studied Spanish and English Literature in school (GCSE and A-Level) so I know how daunting grammar can sometimes feel and how stressful language/literature exams can be... but also how great it feels when you finally start getting it!
On the language side of things, I can help you with your writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and exam technique. I can help you with conversational skills if you're just looking to go traveling or make Spanish/French friends.
On the literature side of things, a large part of my degree was literature-based, so I would be very happy to help any Literature students if you are struggling with the subject.
If you're in school and really want to get an A/A* (7/8/9), I can make sure you achieve your goal. Whatever your current grade, an A/ A*/7/8/9 is achievable. I have taught these exams for many years so I know how they work and how you can do well in them. We will work closely with the syllabus and go through some secrets of exam technique to make sure you get a top grade.
Alternatively, if you're wanting to learn languages for travel or business purposes (or just for fun!) we can tailor the lessons 100% to suit your needs. I also teach courses to adults from beginners to advanced and I always tailored to each student's need. I also teach English to foreigners to achieve the Cambridge Examinations ( A1 to C1).
I effectively deliver and plan online outstanding lessons and the feedback that I have received from parents, pupils, and adult learners have always been very stimulating. I strongly believe in the student centered-approach as always shown in my lesson plans. I believe that all students are individuals with very specific needs so differentiation has always been at the forefront of my teaching practice. I find it very important to address any students’ needs in order to get the best potential out of every single student. I am successful in establishing high expectations of behavior in the classroom whilst still developing positive relationships with my classes.
I love online teaching as well as face to face. I have been doing online experience for the last 5 years and I have helped most of my students to achieve an excellent language level. I use Google Meets, Google Classroom, or even Skype for online teaching. I generally send and post great, fun, and genuine resources so that the student can access them easily and successfully. There are so many fun online resources that I could provide you to enhance your language skills, especially in Speaking; what a great way to speak the language with a native speaker! You will also gain a broad cultural awareness and your fluency and pronunciation will speed up!
Contact me and ask what it is that you need and I will make sure you will get the best of your language skills!
On the other hand, I am a 200hr yoga certified instructor for the last 2 years and I can give you online 1-1 lessons from beginners to more advanced practitioners. I can also give the online yoga class via zoom to you and your whole family! If you have children, you will be glad to know that I have trained to teach kids yoga and I have been organizing yoga workshops in primary and secondary schools.

I am a very experienced, friendly primary school KS2 teacher. I know the KS2 curriculum very well and have taught it for many years. My aim is to offer personalised tutoring, employing my abundant knowledge of varied activities that can make all the difference to a student who may be struggling to learn or who needs to boost their confidence.
I have a wide range of activities and I know where excellent activities online are, just from my considerable previous experience. My teaching always includes as many kinaesthetic hands-on activities and short quizzes and opportunities for the pupil to recap and reinforce their learning.

I am passionate about teaching and education, and have recently achieved a Masters with Distinction in Teaching and Learning from University of Herts, as well as completing a Primary Education degree in 2013. I lead Primary English and am in my eighth year of teaching, currently with Year 5/6.
I have been teaching for 8 years and am currently teaching full-time in a mixed Year 5/6 class for a fourth year, I have also taught in Year 3 and 4. I have a 2:1 in Primary Education from Winchester University as well as an MA Distinction in Teaching and Learning from the University of Hertfordshire.
I have a very good knowledge of the primary curriculum and expectations for each Key Stage. Being the English lead at school means I also have a good knowledge of teaching phonics and reading/writing across the age groups, however I am also extremely confident in teaching Maths. I can be flexible in teaching either primary aged children or those in their beginning years of secondary school.
Due to my experience, I am confident in teaching and supporting children with a range of abilities and needs, as well as across a range of topics. Building a positive relationship with your child is key to me helping them develop a mindset and attitude to their learning which helps them make progress and feel confident.
Outside of teaching I love long walks (especially with my cheeky cockapoo puppy!), cooking, reading, yoga, macrame and socialising. I live in Hitchin and teach in Welwyn Garden City - I would be willing to travel around these two areas.
As I am actively teaching in a school, I am fully DBS checked and up-to-date on recent training and educational initiatives. If a convenient time is unavailable on the schedule listed here, please contact me to arrange an alternative time.

I have taught in Further Education and ran my own tuition centre for four years. My main teaching experience is with small groups and one to one tutoring. I am passionate about coaching learners to bring out the best in each individual. So each person is different based on their experiences of learning in or out of school.
My approach is holistic, so first session is half price to find out whether tutoring is the best approach for your learning needs. Assessments will be included.
