My name is Mariam and I am a Professional English Tutor. I have over 10 years experience and have dedicated my career to teaching both children and adults, helping them develop their language skills and build confidence in their abilities. Throughout this journey, I have refined my teaching methods to make learning an engaging, interactive, and effective experience for my students.
One of the key techniques I employ in my teaching is the use of presentations. By incorporating visually appealing slides, structured lessons, and clear explanations of grammar, vocabulary and much more.
Additionally, I integrate videos into my lessons to make learning more dynamic and relatable. Whether it is watching short films, listening to dialogues, or analysing real-life conversations, videos help students understand pronunciation, intonation, and context. These audiovisual resources create a more immersive learning experience, allowing students to engage with English in a natural way.
My teaching methods have led to remarkable success, particularly with children. Many of my young students have gained confidence in their English abilities whether this may reading, writing or speaking . As a result, they actively participate in class, express their thoughts more freely, and develop a genuine love for learning English. Their progress is evident in their academic performance, with many achieving high grades and excelling in their studies. Seeing my students succeed and grow into confident English speakers is one of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching career.

I was raised in France, but I have been living in the UK for the past 10 years where I am a Property Manager by profession and work as a tutor and mentor in my spare time.

She set up her own tuition business called 'The Linguist Club - Languages' to meet a demand for MFL tuition and fun learning in the community. While working as a secondary teacher, Esme realised that it is challenging cater to individual needs with such large classes with various abilities. By setting up 'The Linguist Club', children with a passion for languages can gain one-to-one or small group classes which can help catch up with subjects they’re having problems with or reach their full potential on subjects they’re being held back on.
She offers secondary (GCSE & A-level) tuition 1-1 or online; primary languages clubs and finally adult tuition. We are a family run business based in Shropshire providing tuition for students of all levels and stages in a variety of subjects. All our tutors are DBS checked and interviewed in person by the Director. Our tutors carry out one to one private tuition in the comfort of the students own home.
We cover all ages of students from Primary school ages, Secondary school ages and adult learners too. We also have tutors who specialise in 11+ entrance exam preparation as well as GCSE, AS and A level examination preparation.
We mainly provide tuition in the Telford and Shrewsbury area however we do have tutors all over Shropshire!
