I am a Qualified Teacher, working at a Grammar school in Aylesbury and I have recently been appointed as an examiner for Edexcel A-Level Mathematics.I am very passionate about my subject and I have a different approach to teaching including more practical ways which engage pupils and enhance their understanding as the new curriculum requires pupils to have a deeper understanding to be able to solve problems.
I believe that every pupil can learn mathematics and I work hard to achieve that, especially with pupils who want to learn and succeed.
Although I work in Grammar schools, I have 6 years of private tuition experience with pupils who need more support and with high-achievers.

I am an experienced Maths teacher who teaches in an outstanding secondary school from ages 11 - 18 years old. I have been tutoring students for 3 years and they have achieved at least one grade higher GCSE grade with my help. I can provide references from the parents of those students upon request.I prefer in-person tutoring because the student can have a much focused attention to the explanation and also some part of the curriculum needs to be practised in person (ie. constructions). I am passionate about teaching and education, and have recently achieved a Masters with Distinction in Teaching and Learning from University of Herts, as well as completing a Primary Education degree in 2013. I lead Primary English and am in my eighth year of teaching, currently with Year 5/6.
I have been teaching for 8 years and am currently teaching full-time in a mixed Year 5/6 class for a fourth year, I have also taught in Year 3 and 4. I have a 2:1 in Primary Education from Winchester University as well as an MA Distinction in Teaching and Learning from the University of Hertfordshire.
I have a very good knowledge of the primary curriculum and expectations for each Key Stage. Being the English lead at school means I also have a good knowledge of teaching phonics and reading/writing across the age groups, however I am also extremely confident in teaching Maths. I can be flexible in teaching either primary aged children or those in their beginning years of secondary school.
