Welcome to my tutoring profile! With over 12 years of experience, I am a highly skilled primary school teacher specialising in English, Maths, and Phonics for children in Early Years, Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). I am passionate about helping young learners develop a strong foundation in these fundamental subjects. My expertise lies in guiding students through the intricacies of English language and literature, including reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary building, and creative writing. I employ various interactive techniques to enhance their language skills and foster a love for reading. In the realm of Mathematics, I provide comprehensive support to students, covering topics such as arithmetic, problem-solving, geometry, and algebra. I employ hands-on approaches, visual aids, and real-life examples to make abstract concepts more relatable and enjoyable for students. Phonics, an essential component of early literacy, is another area where I excel. I employ proven strategies to develop students' phonemic awareness, letter-sound recognition, and blending skills. By fostering a strong foundation in phonics, I empower students to become confident readers and spellers. Throughout my teaching/ tutoring career, I have successfully worked with children of diverse learning abilities and backgrounds. I prioritise creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new concepts. My teaching methodology is student-centered, tailored to each learner's unique needs and learning style. I believe in building a strong rapport with my students to foster trust and confidence, thereby maximising their potential. Whether your child needs assistance with specific concepts, exam preparation, or overall academic improvement, I am dedicated to providing personalised tutoring that empowers them to achieve their goals.

My name is Leon and I provide the help you need to make maths and computer science easier to understand and fun to learn.
Using my experience in teaching and commercial application of these subjects, I am able to provide a thorough perspective that extends beyond the limitations of traditional classroom lessons. By presenting context for how maths and computer science concepts are used in the real world, I am able to make these subjects easier to understand with a complete explanation for how they are used to solve problems that everyone can relate to.
Self belief is the biggest obstacle preventing people from achieving their full potential. By using my learning techniques and support, I can help you to overcome difficulties created by learning anxiety, dyslexia and dyscalculia that lead to your potential being underestimated. By deconstructing the unnecessary jargon and written notation behind maths and computing, I help students to exceed expectations and achieve the highest grades in as little as 12 weeks.
Tutoring Experience
I have taught maths and computing as a professional tutor and commercial trainer for over 10 years. My lessons can also be tailored to cover exam preparation for all major exam boards, including AQA, CEA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC.
The following are the subject levels that I have experience of teaching:
Maths: - Key Stage 3 - GCSE - Functional Skills
Computer Science: - Key Stage 3 - GCSE - A-Level - Degree - Master's degree.
Tutoring Approach
Whatever your reasons for considering tuition, my lessons can be custom designed to extend your potential to achieve the highest grade possible. I provide the support you need to benefit from online learning and extend the outcomes achievable with your time and budget. Whether you’re already a high performer or you find maths / computing a challenge to understand, my support allows you to learn at a pace that suits your individual requirements.
By avoiding the use of technical jargon and complicated notation, my lessons present concepts in a format that's easy to understand and practise. Each lesson is designed for you to achieve the following learning objectives:
* Understand a specific concept. * Perform the concept. * Write the concept as maths notation or programming code. * Develop exam technique.
Using custom digital learning tools, you will be exposed to a hands on approach to learning the concepts behind maths and computing. My lessons begin with a visual presentation explaining the focus topic, followed by interactive exercises that help you to experiment, express and reinforce your understanding. With my support and collaboration, each exercise challenges you to describe and refine your thinking process to solve a puzzle using the skills taught in the presentation.
Once you are confident in your ability, the lesson progresses to applying your understanding of the concepts to creating and understanding written notation and code. This stage of the lesson prepares you with the ability to work with exam questions and other assessments that you are preparing for.
The most important component of effective learning is your ability to practise between lessons. To help you gain the most benefit from my help, I provide online learning exercises that allow you to benefit from my guidance and feedback throughout the week as you study.

Hi, I’m Lucie T. founder of Little Home Learners Tuition.
I am a qualified Primary School Teacher from Urmston. I left University in 2011 with a First Class BA Honours in Primary Education and have taught in Primary Schools in Trafford ever since. With over 13 years experience teaching in EYFS, KS1, LKS2, I have extensive knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and end of year expectations. I have taught many children over my career with various educational needs including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and have a particular strength in being able to adapt my teaching in order to ensure the children in my care thrive with their education. I have a proven track record in the use of effective assessment in order to quickly identify a child’s strengths, diagnose gaps in their understanding and plan for their next steps. This is a vital skill when tutoring young children.
I am a warm, welcoming and honest teacher and I pride myself on my ability to bond with children to help them to reach their full potential. Knowing how your child learns enables me to adapt my teaching style and teach to their need and at their pace.
As a parent myself, I understand how important it is to feel comfortable with the adults educating your children. If you feel I am the right tutor for your child, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your child’s educational needs.

I have been privately tutoring Mathematics to students from the ages 10-18 (Secondary School through to A-Levels) over the past four years whilst completing my Master's degree in Mathematics. I take great pride in my work as a tutor, and always make it a priority to make my students feel comfortable that they can ask me any questions at any time during a lesson. Having been on both sides of the small classroom teaching dynamic, I can sympathise with how some students may feel a sense of unease when starting a new class with a new teacher, which can ultimately impact their classroom learning. During my lessons, I like to stress the importance that this is not simply another classroom lesson where I talk and the student should remain quiet, and instead encourage my students to ask me any and all questions they have about the subject. The more they can tell me about their concerns with Mathematics, the more information I have to work with when adapting the lesson to their needs. My preferred teaching style is to look through previous work that a student has completed, and create complete breakdowns to topics/exam question solutions to give the student a step-by-step method that they can use beyond the lesson. After each lesson, I send an email with a document attached that contains all of the information discussed during the lesson, so that they can use the teachings at their own leisure in the future. If I specialise my lessons to each student, then what would be the point of me not sharing the resources afterwards? My working times are quite flexible, as I work from home, so most days from 10:00 - 18:00 work well for me. This is not a strict time window, however, so please feel free to contact me with alternative times outside of these hours, and we can see if we can make it work. Please also let me know if you have any enquiries about tutoring, including information about my qualifications before university studies, and I will be happy to share.

Teaching is my vocation and I am committed to investing a great amount of time and effort into professional development, craftingpedagogy, curriculum knowledge and a deeper understanding of the education landscape including the changes to the new Ofsted framwork. I place great emphasis on fostering positive relationships with my students, always identifying new ways to meet their needs, and developing the whole child, whether that be academically, socially or emotionally. Pupils leave my class as happy and confident individuals with a thirst for knowledge to develop their enquiring minds.
I graduated from Edge Hill University in 2003 with a BA (hons) in Primary Education and Physical Education with QTS. In 2012 I was awarded The National SENDCO award. I have more than 17 years teaching experience in years KS1& 2, including Y6. During my career I have held additional curriculum responsibilities for PE, DT, Science, Maths, SEN and Computing, I also hold Maths Specilaist Teacher accredication (MAST). Leading these subjects has allowed me to work closely with other colleagues to shape the curruculum design and delivery by creating schemes of work which are exciting and fun, enriched with first hand experiences. Most recenlty, in my current school, I was fortunate to support Teachers developing the Maths curriculum form EYFS and KS1. I was able to provide support and guidance so that colleagues could implement to better meet the needs of their pupils in these critical early years. The positive outcomes afforded me the opportunity to then support whole school maths with a specific focus on the more able pupil where I was able to eviedence a signifficant improvement in results. I found these experiences very informative and rewarding.
As an experienced Teacher, I recognise the importance of robust systems and processes, I use formative and summative assessments in addition to marking books to track and monitor pupil progress. I forensically analyse data to inform my planning, ensuring there are no gaps and pupils have a secure knowledge before moving onto the next topic. I aim for lessons to be well thought and purposeful with the right balance of pace, in order to stretch and challenge all levels of learners. I believe in delivering high quality lessons that are fun and engaging that require teamwork and participation, I listen to pupil feedback so I understand how they like to learn. I aim to support students address any misconceptions during lessons and promote independent learning, peerand self-assessment in the classroom. I incorporate blended learning and the use of technology my lessons. Recently I have created films about WWII, the plague and many other subjects. I plan lessons to meet the needs of all pupils including those on Learning Plans for SEND and high attaining pupils. I believe in creating a stimulating learning environment where pupils can challenge themselves.
I actively engage and welcome other professionals, including class teachers, teaching assistants, SLT and consultants, to secure my judgements of pupil achievement and lesson observations. I recognise this validation of what good or better teaching looks like enables me to share best practise and maintain a high quality of teaching and learning. Working with others to moderate assessment data also ensures my judgment is accurate, it allows me to reflect on my own practise.
As an active member within the school community I forge strong relationship with all stakeholders including multi agency partners. I have always built strong relationships with parents as I believe this is key to ensuring all pupils can thrive. In my role as SENDCO I line managed a team of support staff and It was my primary role to ensure all students needs are met in line with their EHCP. I was required to be the registered lead professional during reviews and liaise between parents and multi agency to ensure each child was offered the right support inside and outside of school.
Outside of my classrooms I have developed community links by taking a lead role in enrichement and after school clubs. I am a level 2 Football and Cricket Coach. In my previous school I led the football, cricket and running club. I have a love for sport and understand the importance of instilling healthy habits in children and the positive effects it can have on their mental health and wellbeing. Through my involvement in these sports I have developed good links with other schools, both primary and secondary whereby pupils have been able to competively take part in a variety of sporting fixtures. I thoroughly enjoy working with children during these extra-curricular activities as it not only teaches them new skills but the children also get the chance to shine when using existing skills. In addition to this, the children learn life skills such as; social skills, speaking and listening skills, teamwork, tolerance and develop leadership skills. I always look to involve myself in the delivery of clubs regardless of my role in school.
As well as sporting clubs, I have organised Maths clubs using exciting problems. One area that I am passionate about is engaging and including parents in the curriculum. I delivered parent Maths classes to provide skills and confidence for parents supporting their children with their homework. It proved to be very popular with parents and children notebaly, parents became more engaged with the work their children were doing. The importance of opeing up the classroom for parents anddeveloping these links has direlcty contricbuted the young peoples confidence in their educartion. I would be very keen to secure these links again.
I hope that I have evidenced my love of teaching and demonstrated my work ethic as an outstanding practitioner.
Yours sincerely,
Andrew H.

I have been tutoring for 8 years both 1 to 1 and in After-School clubs to children ranging from reception to year 7. I have experience working with SEN children and work as a TA in primary schools. I also have over a years experience in tutoring beginners French to adults via zoom.
My tutoring approach depends on the student, I am a firm believer that one box does not fit all. Everyone is an individual and learns in different ways and I adapt every lesson to each student and how they learn, through structured lessons, games or a mix of the two. I always aim to make my lessons fun whilst still being educational and pushing my student to reach their full potential. Each student learns at a different pace and if you have a set time frame for your goal I will recommend a suitable amount of lessons I think will be needed or if you are learning in a more relaxed time frame we can adapt as we go.
I give options as to if I will set homework, not everyone has time for it and I appreciate that and some need it as additional structure to their lessons and I am happy to provide it in that case.
Every individual has the ability to learn, with the right tutor you can go far and I hope that I can be the one to help you reach your goals. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions.

Hi, my name is Palvasha, I'm currently a medical student taking a year out and am available to tutor students who would like to improve their GCSE Maths, Biology or Chemistry. I have achieved 8's in these subjects at GCSE and A's in my A-Level's just a couple of years ago so I understand the stress that students go through with these subjects and have successfully found techniques in achieving my desired grades. I am available to tutor at your preferred times especially if you decide for our sessions to be online. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I recently achieved a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with Religious Studies which enabled me to move on to my Post Graduate in Teaching with Primary (5-11) that starts in September 2024.
Although, my main subject is Religion, my passion would be with English Language and English Literature. I am a caring, genuine and understanding individual who has experience working with children of all ability and have worked 1-1 with children with special educational needs.

I have been teaching for over ten years and tutoring professionally for five years. I exam mark and support NCETM and Maths hub, keeping me up to date with all current curriculum and practice. I tutor Maths from year 3 to adult and 11+ from year 3 to year 6. 11+ is very maths biased, so well worth having a maths specialist. I am well qualified with a 1st class maths degree, a Masters in teaching and further outstanding teacher qualifications and accolades. I mostly tutor by zoom but can use other platforms and occasionally face to face local students. I look forward to Helping you.
