I am currently a Medical student at Keele and a graduate from the University of Salford, achieving a 1st in my degree in Human Biology and Infectious Disease. Achieving the highest mark within my university. I was responsible for a programme known as GEMMS which is for supporting students in their medicine/dentistry applications, assisting them in interview technique and for the entrance exams.
I have mentored and tutored for 5+ years, helping students to achieve grade 9 in maths. I currently tutor Mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry for A-levels and below.
I am a fun person who particular loves his sports. Seeing the improvement and progress a child can make in a short amount of time is always the best feeling and I strive to help you achieve your goals and beyond. Sometimes having that 1 to 1 session can make all the difference in clearing up any worries about a topic.
I begin my classes by asking the student what they want to learn or discuss during the session. If they have a doubt in a concept, I will ask them to explain the same concept to me in their own words and correct them wherever necessary. I will provide some good methods to study or approach that topic. I will conclude the lesson by asking them if there is anything they would like to discuss in our next session so that I could prepare some questions in advance. I will also regularly be assessing your improvement through the use of practice papers to get an idea of where the student is at and how they can further improve. My teaching method is communicative. Of course grammar is important, but I ensure that you learn improve all aspects of the Spanish language whilst putting into practice in real life situations and interesting conversations. Eachclass is tailored to your individual wants and needs. As well as conversational classes I also have a lot of experience helping people pass GCSE and A Level exams.
I have just finished my A-levels, achieving 3 A’s.
I studied Spanish, law and English literature, under the exam boards AQA, OCR and Edexcel, respectively, though I am able to teach any exam board as many overlap.
For English literature, I studied Frankenstein, The Handmaid’s Tale, A Streetcar named Desire, poems of the Decade, Othello and the Keats anthology. For my coursework I used The yellow wallpaper and The tenant of wildfell hall. Although I cannot aid massively with coursework, I can give useful tips and tricks which allowed me to achieve my grade.
I know how much hard work it takes to achieve high grades and I’m excited to motivate my students to achieve their aspirational target grades.
I believe independent work is important outside of tutoring sessions so I will set work alongside my lessons and review in following ones.
Inside my lessons, I will focus on what the student believes they need to work on most and suggest recommendations to aid them in achieving the best grade possible.
As I’ve just finished my A levels, I can share and teach the best, first hand advice on what got me marks in all of my papers.
I have experience tutoring as for my 2 years in college, I engaged in a tutoring program for GCSE students and A level students within my college.
