I was a police officer for 26 years and spent the final 7 years of my service as a trainer. I subsequently took a CELTA course and earned the qualification to teach English as a Foreign Language. I have taught at a number of Summer and Easter schools in the UK, and undertaken short contracts at language schools in Vietnam and Mexico. During the COVID 19 lockdown I volunteered as an online teacher for the school in Vietnam, giving them one 90 minute lesson a week from home using Microsoft Teams. I have also tutored several adults on a one-to-one basis and will always adapt both the content and style of lesson to suit the needs of the learner. I am happy to help for short term goals, for example IELTS or the Driving Theory Test, long term ambitions or just conversational English as required. |
