I am a highly experienced teacher of English literature, having taught in the English Department of University College London for ten years. Though I specialised in modern literature, I taught across the curriculum of English and American literature. I was particularly good at helping students with their essay writing - understanding texts, developing a persuasive and original argument, and organising their work in ways that were both competent and exciting. I also have experience tutoring students to take A-level exams and the GRE for graduate applications. I was admissions tutor for 2 years at UCL, and so have insider knowledge of what it takes to successfully apply to an elite university. |
