I have been tutoring individual pupils from a variety of backgrounds and abilities for nearly a decade now. I have also been teaching GCSE, A-Level, and Year 9 history since 2013-14, and have an outstanding track record in terms of results. Approximately 90% of the students I have taught at GCSE level have achieved a 7-9 grade, and I have had pupils achieve places at Oxbridge to read History within the last two years. I have excellent technical knowledge of exam preparation and essay or source paper questions, and am especially familiar with content involving the crusades (1099-1204), Russia 1894-1924, International Relations 1919-1990, and Germany 1918-45. That being said, I am willing to work on content from any time period, and with pupils of any ability or age level. My particular strength lies in the passion that I have for my subject, and my primary aim is to inspire pupils with a love for the subject. Outside of the classroom I have led or been involved with student trips to Berlin, Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg), and the battlefields of France and Belgium. I teach full time, however am largely available in school holidays and can also offer online sessions. Please get in touch if you have any questions not answered here. |
