I'm a patient and deeply knowledgeable physics teacher, with experience in teaching GCSE physics, university interviews, and entrance exams.
My teaching style focuses around the expert cycle of learning, where a problem, technique, or approach will be modelled to a pupil, then worked examples will be given to support and scaffold their independence. Finally, fully independent practice will be given to achieve mastery of the desired learning before cycling back to modelling a new concept if progress has been made.
I have a year's experience teaching the GCSE physics curriculum for AQA and Edexcel, alongside a wealth of experience in preparing for university entrance exams and interviews - including the PAT and the NSAA for Oxford and Cambridge. I also have a year's experience teaching combined science at Key Stage 3, and some experience in biology and chemistry GCSE for both AQA and Edexcel.
I am currently a trainee teacher with a teaching position in a successful high school from September. I will gain Qualified Teacher Status over the coming summer. I also have a first class masters degree in physics from the University of Manchester. |
