Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.
I am a graduate who has finished studying Maths with Statistics at Royal Holloway University and I have good maths and science teaching skills. I know what techniques are needed for students to thrive and to have a good learning environment. Along with that, I know what techniques are needed to answer exam questions, so that they can do really well, and for them to find their true potential, but most importantly, for students to have a positive and enthusiastic approach to learning. In terms of teaching, I can teach maths, biology and chemistry at KS3, GCSE and A levels. I teach physics at GCSE and at KS3 level. I have 3 years experience as a private tutor and I teach students in the best possible standards as possible as I am very patient and I understand students difficulties and needs and therefore allow them to succeed. I have had 3 years experience in teaching GCSE and A level subjects, which are maths, chemistry, biology and physics. I have also taught geography in the past. I have taught students in person for the past 3 years. For in person teaching, I have taught in libraries and at schools. The first lesson will be a trial lesson, just to introduce myself and also give an indication of where you are working at for your subjects, so that I can plan the lessons according to your needs further forward. I developed an interest in tutoring at a very young age. After completing my GCSE's I subscribed myself to a tuition centre where I taught KS3. After completing my A levels i went on to teach GCSE's eventually diving into A levels aswell after getting into Queen Mary University. From there on I helped many students go from their low grades of C's, D's and even E's to scoring top grades of A/A*'s, allowing them to get into their chosen universities.
I am a friendly but demanding private tutor with a fund of real-life stories to bring science to life! I start from where the student is and find their learning style. Then we can approach the concepts and vocabulary in a way that is relevant and targeted. I use online and paper-based exercises to reinforce the essential core knowledge. Past paper practice is essential but not sufficient to succeed.
My tutoring is questioning, methodical and supportive so that the student can achieve their true potential. It is based on more than 10 years of classroom practice in both the state and private sectors and fifteen years of one-to-one science tutoring at GCSE and A-level...all exam boards.

Hi! My name is Camron and I am a first year university student, studying Dentistry at Kings College London. I am looking to tutor students that require assistance with GSCE maths and sciences or A-level maths and chemistry. I am willing to offer first hand assistance in order to help you achieve the best grade possible and give you learning techniques that may benefit in later stages of your academic career. Being in your position until only very recently, I believe I have found some effective methods in order to learn hard parts of the syllabus and as a student myself, understand the common topics students may struggle with. This is why I have taken extra care to produce fullproof methods of learning these topics and will explain them to the best of my ability during the lesson.
I think every single student is unique, which is why I believe my bespoke advice coupled with the latest resources will allow students to maximise their progress in the subjects they require help with. From personal experience, I strongly believe the best way to retain knowledge is to ensure they have a complete understanding of it, which is why I will do my very best to make sure this is achieved.
I have also spent 12 months participating in a mentor reading programme, that has allowed me to hone my skills in communication and use them in tutoring.

I am currently a qualified and experienced Science teacher, teaching GCSE and A-Levels in a top Secondary School in Berkshire. I have graduated with a BSc degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Queen Mary University of London, which included an in-depth study of topics such as: Organic Chemistry, Kinetics, Thermodynamics, Quantum Chemistry and Biochemistry. These are topics which are all included in the new A-Level Chemistry syllabus.
