I am a self employed qualified language tutor bringing up a bilingual child. I adore languages and feel that in todays world they are of exceptional importance. I hold a BA Joint Hons in Spanish and American Studies and a Delf B2 in French in addition to a PGCE Cert/Ed. Typically I am based from my home classroom in Northampton form where i run Spanish and French Classes on a one one or small group basis, however currently I offer sessions through Skype and other online platforms. Hopefully sessions will return in house from my classroom later in the year.
I have been tutoring for 15 years. Prior to that i worked for the council in the Adult Education sector tutoring Spanish. In recent times I have started running primary school language clubs in Northamptonshire. I have worked abroad in Spain and spent considerable time in France for leisure and work. Through my experience i have tutored children from primary school age up to A level. have 15 years experience in GCSE and A level tutoring and am also an experienced GCSE examiner. In addition I have considerable experience in teaching adults, from complete beginners to advanced and i sculpt my lessons around individual needs whether for business, pleasure or academia.
I am passionate about languages and they are an important part of our experience when we travel. I love the diversity of the students that come to me for tuition and thus cater around their individual needs to ensure that they meet and often exceed their language learning goals. Languages are all about communication and establishing that through a good rapport with students is key to ensuring success and enjoyment and thus it leads to dialogue about individual needs and requirements. I always ensure that students enjoy their language experience and feel that they can approach me with any question reference their learning.

After moving to the UK in 2016 and raising my children to be bilingual, I discovered a passion for teaching Spanish. This led me to complete a 150-hour certification course in teaching Spanish as a foreign language from the Miguel de Cervantes University. Driven by my love for education, I then pursued an International Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish in Different Educational Contexts, specializing in adults, young learners, and online instruction.
I currently teach Spanish at a Primary School (Key Stage 1 and 2) and a Supplementary Spanish School, offering one-on-one lessons to children, adolescents, and adults both online and in person. With experience teaching in individual sessions, small groups, and larger classroom settings, I tailor lessons to each student's needs.

I am a Spanish teacher with 5 years experience teaching a variety of year groups from year 7-13 in Spanish and year 7-11 in French. I have 5 years experience teaching Spanish KS3, GCSE and A level and teaching French KS3 and GCSE.
I also have 2 years experience teaching English as an additional language and have prepared students in the past for their B1, B2 and C1 Cambridge English exams.
I also have 2 years experience as an AQA examiner for Spanish and French GCSE. As a result I have accrued a lot of experience to inform my lessons and my teaching and learning. I have done this inform myself and my students to best help them meet the exam criteria and achieve the best possible grades.

I have been teaching in secondary school for approximately 10 years in Leicestershire. I specialise in Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish and French) and can teach any ability range up to A-Level in my respective languages.
I am also an approved GCSE examiner.
I have worked in a variety of school settings in various capacities, as a standard classroom teacher, a Head of Year and also someone who specialised in training of newly qualified teachers or initial teacher trainees.

During the current COVID-19 situation my schedule is relatively light and I have a little more flexibility, that said from 15th June I will be returning to work so will have to reduce my availability accordingly to allow me to prioritise my normal classroom teaching.
