I am a first year student studying BSc Psychology at Durham University. At A-levels, I studied English Literature (A*), Psychology (A) and Biology (A) and completed an EPQ (A*); and at GCSEs I achieved 11 grades 7-9, including: 9s in English Literature and Latin, 8s in Maths, English Language, French, Biology, Physics, Geography and Ancient Greek, and 7s in Music and Chemistry. I have experience being as a GCSE English Literature and Language tutor and a revision mentor, as well as being a volunteer primary school classroom assistant for a year. My professional roles include teacher, key worker, residential social support worker, and trainee educational mental health practitioner with world leading organizations such as NHS, Priory Health Group Juilliard, Nord Anglia, New College Nottingham, UK Carnival Arts Centre, and YouPress. I have completed a three year BSc in Psychology. This included acquiring basic knowledge across several domains of psychology including personality psychology, cognitive psychology, biological psychology, health psychology and social psychology. Knowledge surrounding mental health wellbeing and mental health disorders was obtained starting off with the basics and proceeding to develop knowledge in therapeutic approaches, psychiatry and meeting the needs of clients. I took modules in research methodologies and completed lab reports which led on to my dissertation of a study on chronic fatigue syndrome/ME. My option modules included two clinical and two language based courses: eating disorders, psychology of intimacy, Level 2 European Spanish and Level 1 British Sign Language. Alongside my degree I was chosen for a Psychology internship within the department, completed my mental health first aid and volunteered as a bazaar mentor delivering a CBT based programme to students.

I spent over a year in school environment, where I was a TA, helping a range of students, from pre-school age, to 15-16 year olds. I like to find new and inovative ways to help students learn to get them ready for any tests or even for their GCSEs.
